Everyone loves chips and guacamole, but I usually approach a bowl with a healthy degree of skepticism. Its’ usual downfall is not enough salt or lime, causing the flavor to be flat and unexciting. Why waste your precious calories on sub-par dip, right? This recipe from Epicurious is anything but bland! Amy suggested we make this for our Advent Calendar project, and I have to say I am so glad we decided to go with it. The colors are gorgeous and Christmas-y and the flavor combinations are amazing. Sweet grapes and pear, tart pomegranate seeds and spicy serrano chilies make for an unexpected twist on the classic. This recipe definitely gets the Amy and Darcie stamp of approval!
