Personal projects for blog posts with photographer Amy Roth
My experience in the restaurant industry began at the young age of 16, when I caught the bug for all things food. I got my education at the University of Delaware school of Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management. This gave me a solid foundation in food science, business management, and marketing.
After graduating, I landed a job at a fine-dining restaurant in the French Quarter in New Orleans, where I continued to explore my passion for restaurants and dining. I worked in the industry for a few years, then moved overseas for my husband’s job. As an expat, living in 4 different countries allowed me the opportunity to travel the world seeking new culinary adventures. I spent my time learning international recipes and cooking techniques and began working for Shanghai Family Magazine as their monthly Food File contributor.
From writing content and doing food styling for commercial and editorial pieces to developing recipes, my body of work is rich and varied. Now based in northern NJ, I continue to offer clients world-class service. View more of my experience on my LinkedIn page.
