Chipotle and Lime- so happy together!
Grilling season is in full swing and I’ve been experimenting with yummy marinades to take your meat dishes to the next level. I recently picked up a jar of McCormick Grill Mates Chipotle & Roasted Garlic Seasoning and I have been loving it. (They are not paying me to promote their product, I just love it). It’s great sprinkled on chicken wings and other meats, but this time I decided to use it to make a marinade for some chicken tenders. So (true to my style in the summer) I’m going to keep this post short and sweet and just introduce you to my Chipotle Lime Grilled Chicken recipe.

Chipotle Lime Grilled Chicken
Grilled chicken breast tenderloins get a flavor boost from a zesty chipotle and lime marinade.
- 1 lime zest and juice
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 2 Tbsp McCormick Chipotle and Roasted Garlic Seasoning
- 1 Tbsp kosher salt
- 1 Tbsp chopped fresh cilantro
- 2 lbs chicken breast tenderloins
In a sealable container, zest the lime and squeeze the juice. Stir together with the olive oil, seasoning, salt and cilantro. Add the chicken and toss to coat. Allow to marinate for 2 hours or overnight.
Heat an outdoor grill and cook chicken for approximately 10 minutes on each side, until cooked through. Baste occasionally with the marinade during cooking. Remove to a platter and serve.
This chicken makes a great fajita or taco filling. Also great served over a salad.
We used these chicken tenders to make some amazing tacos. Look for a post soon featuring these yummy little nuggets of goodness, complete with a chipotle ranch sauce and cast iron skillet peppers and onions! Happy grilling!
